If You Used to Rent From Value Van & Car Rental

For 45 years, Value Van & Car Rental (Union & Newark, NJ) was the most-used independent van fleet for faith groups across northern New Jersey and lower Connecticut. In 2024–2025 they closed and directed customers to a single Bayonne-based successor.

TravelSeat Rentals is filling that gap from the Connecticut side. If your church previously rented from Value Van for Sunday shuttles, summer retreats, or mission trips, we can pick up the same service pattern — usually with a more convenient Stamford-area pickup or with-driver pickup at your church.

Do you offer a non-profit or community-group discount?
Yes — we offer a discount for recognized non-profit and faith-community groups on recurring bookings. The discount is applied to multi-trip blocks rather than one-off bookings, so the structure favors regular partners.
Can our church charge passengers for the ride?
Generally no — under our standard self-drive rental terms, the van may not be used for paid passenger transportation. If your situation involves charging riders, ask us about the optional driver add-on so the booking is structured appropriately.
Can we get the same driver every Sunday (if we add the optional driver)?
On recurring driver-add-on bookings we make a strong effort to assign the same driver to your route. Familiarity with your congregants, pickup locations, and timing makes the service noticeably smoother.
Will you sign a one-year transportation contract?
Yes. For churches with predictable annual transportation needs (Sundays, monthly youth events, summer retreats), we structure a single contract that covers the year with locked-in pricing.
